About Ali
Ali is a multifaceted queer artist based in Vancouver, Canada. She is an alumni of the world-famous Loose Moose Theatre Company, current faculty member in the Department of Theatre at Capilano University, and the founding Artistic Director of Tightrope Theatre, which has become a hub for high quality improv comedy in Canada.
Ali has built an international reputation for her work in improvisation, and is an ITI Certified Instructor with a Theatresports Badge. As a filmmaker her short Down the Rabbit Hole premiered at the 2019 Toronto After Dark Film Festival and screened at the 2020 Vancouver International Women in Film Festival (GEMS). As a producer, she recently completed She Talks To Strangers (dir. Bruce Sweeney), which premiered at the 2023 Whistler Int Film Festival, was nominated for the Borsos Best Canadian Feature Film and is now available to stream on Amazon Prime. Ali aims to bridge artistic integrity with playful, audience-driven storytelling.
Ali is currently in development for a feature length slasher comedy about the cult of improv called Yes, And... Die.
